HEMP-CLAY LIGHTBOARDS

The lightweight clay board is a modern clay construction panel, suitable for interior building and can be used similarly to standard gypsum boards. These boards combine the advantages of traditional clay materials with modern construction standards.

PLANNING:

  • Made from local clay, reinforced with natural fibers (hemp shives), and fully recyclable.
  • An ideal dry construction solution for interior building and renovation in wooden and stone houses.
  • Regulates indoor humidity levels. Suitable for walls, ceilings, and other surfaces, from drywall to insulation layers.
  • Offers high mechanical strength due to its jute-fabric base layer.

INSTALLATION:

Required Tools and Materials

  • Circular saw or diamond cutter for precise board cutting.

  • Screws, staples, or dowels, depending on the substructure.

Suitable Substrates: Wooden or metal frameworks.

Board Installation

  • Secure the boards to the supporting structure using screws or staples.

  • Use clay adhesive for attaching the boards directly to solid walls (e.g., stone surfaces), maintaining a maximum layer thickness of 10 mm.

  • Important: When gluing boards onto stone surfaces, they must be additionally secured with screws to ensure structural stability.
