An official EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) has been issued for Saviukumaja OÜ products, verifying the minimal environmental impact of our materials.
What does EPD mean? An EPD is an internationally recognized, third-party verified document that assesses a product’s entire life cycle and ecological footprint, from raw material sourcing to manufacturing.
In simple terms, it is an environmental impact certificate for our materials. It proves that UKU products support the enhancement of buildings with green building certifications (such as LEED or BREEAM) and help create a truly sustainable, future-proof living environment.

Basically, an independent third party looked at our entire process — from digging up raw materials to making the final product — and calculated our true environmental footprint.
The verdict? Our materials keep environmental impact to a minimum. Plus, having an official EPD makes it much easier to use UKU in projects targeting LEED or BREEAM green building standards.
